Peter Green, the current executive headmaster of Rugby School Group, will take up the post of principal at Gordonstoun School in Scotland, .
Mr Green will take over from Lisa Kerr, who will have served as principal at Gordonstoun for over 7 years, who is moving to become principal of George Watson鈥檚 College in Edinburgh.
An experienced school leader, who has previously been at the helm of Ardingly and Rugby School, this will be Peter鈥檚 third headship.
Prior to Rugby, Mr Green was headmaster at , second master at Ampleforth College and also worked at Uppingham School.
The new role signals a return to his “home country” for the head, who was educated at Edinburgh and St Andrew鈥檚 universities.

As of January 2024, Neil Hampton will become the principal of the Rugby School Group, moving up from his current post of deputy executive head master.
